SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Corridor of Fame coach Steve Asmussen broke the North American report for victories by a coach Saturday when Stellar Faucet received the fifth race on Whitney Day at Saratoga Race Course.
Asmussen has 9,446 victories to interrupt the mark set by the late Dale Baird throughout his 46-year profession that ended when he was killed in a automotive crash in 2007 at age 72.
