Patrick Reed withdraws from Wyndham Championship

After competing in Minnesota, Japan and Tennessee within the final three weeks, Patrick Reed has determined to take a break forward of the FedExCup playoffs.

Reed withdrew on Tuesday from this week’s Wyndham Championship, the PGA Tour’s last regular-season occasion. The three-tournament playoffs start subsequent week, with The Northern Belief at Liberty Nationwide.

Reed is at present twenty second in FedExCup factors, with the highest 30 qualifying for the finale, the Tour Championship.

He’s changed within the Wyndham area by Josh Teater, No. 193 in factors.

Reed was competing within the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities when he realized he was eligible to play for Workforce USA within the Olympics, following Bryson DeChambeau’s withdrawal due to COVID-19. Reed jumped on the likelihood, flew to Tokyo and tied for twenty second with no follow spherical. He then returned for final week’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational in Memphis and tied for thirty first.
