Nigeria to Battle South Africa and others in e-Sports Competitions. The Nigerian e-Sports Federation (NeSFed ), the governing body of e-Sports activities in Nigeria has commenced preparations to confront South Africa , Namibia , Egypt and Tunisia during the National Sports Festival in EDO State Nigeria next month . Briefing news men in Abuja Nigeria , the Director of Competitions and Sponsorship Hon Angbo Kennedy said the choice of the above mentioned nations for the competition is because they are the only affiliated members of the continent’s e-Sports body in Africa, (Confederation of Africa e-Sports) Hon Kennedy further said the qualifiers games will take place in the six geopolitical zones of the country with the aim of getting professionals e-Sports players that will represent the country, during the National Sports Festival EDO 2020. Besides confronting South Africa, Tunisia, Namibia and Egypt during the National Sports Festival in EDO 2020 online, six inter states e-Sports competitions will also feature during the NSF. The president of the International e-Sports Federation (IESF) Mr Colin Webster, has since confirmed the availability of the rest of the four Africans members of the IESF for the competition in Edo 2020 National Sports Festival. Hon Kennedy while commending the Anvil group of Family Worship Centre ( FWC) Abuja for the partnership with the Nigeria e-Sports Federation in the development of the game in Nigeria, explained that FWC will produce ten professional players that will be part of the team from Abuja to the National Sports Festival coming up in the march to EDO 2020.      Hon. Kennedy further said the quality of players, both men and women discovered during the free for all play station courtesy of (NesFeD) and Anvil are capable of competing and challenging anyone in the world in e-Sports gaming . The Abuja zonal qualifiers for the National Sports Festival have been fixed for the 6th and 7th March 2020 and the competition will take place at the prestigious Mexicana restaurant in Ceddi plaza Abuja. The partnership between the Nigerian e-Sports Federation and the Mexicana restaurant is aimed at providing a conducive environment for the game lovers and players in Abuja and its environs as they demonstrate their skills. Meanwhile the Secretary General of the Nigerian e-Sports Federation Mr Chrysantus Tah has commended the Minister of Sports Federal Republic of Nigeria Hon Sunday Dare for given equal opportunity to all sports development in country.
