New mural for Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook unites his previous and current

There are many murals within the Los Angeles space celebrating Los Angeles Lakers gamers previous and current. That listing now contains Russell Westbrook, who was traded to the Lakers in August.

One latest piece of artwork is just not removed from the place Westbrook began his hoops profession.

Westbrook was born in Lengthy Seaside, California, and performed highschool basketball at Leuzinger Excessive College in Lawndale. The newest mural, painted by Gustavo Zermeno Jr., is painted on the wall at A Baseball Clubhouse and Comedian Books, a memorabilia store in Hawthorne, lower than 2 miles from Westbrook’s outdated highschool.

Zermeno, from Venice, California, has collaborated with the Lakers and Los Angeles Rams. He has additionally painted murals honoring Kobe Bryant, Tommy Lasorda, Aaron Donald and the 2020 Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers championship groups.
