Former Africa footballer Patrick Mboma pf Cameroon has been appointed as the new Deputy Secretary General of the Confederation of Africa Football CAF.

Patrick Mboma Born in Douala- Cameroon started started his domestic football career in 1993 has serve Cameroon for many years .
The Cameroonian took over from Andrew Baffoe from Ghana who left last month .

The African soccer governing body at its headquarters in Cairo Mboma who scored 33 goals in 57 matches. He played in the 1998 and 2002 world cup, and also led Cameroon to the gold medal at the 2000
Olympic at Sydney to victory and 2002 African Nation Cup

He scored a memorable overhead kick against France in 1998.
His major achievements were recorded between the year 2000 to 2004 where he actively participate in Indomitable Lions winning of African Cup Of Nations twice in Ghana/ Nigeria and Mali ,also , he participated in U23 team that won the Olympic gold at 2000.
