Ducks coach trolls Beavers after Nike drops custom Oregon-State themed Jordans initially appeared on NBC Sports Northwest

On Wednesday, the Oregon State Beavers soccer crew unveiled their latest customized Jordans designed by Nike’s most storied designer, Oregon alum Tinker Hatfield.

The Oregon State themed kicks characteristic a black higher base as the first colour paired with orange and white accents. The phrase “Beavers” is featured on the facet of the shoe with the “OSU” on the again with the enduring Jordan emblem.

A number of Beavers together with head coach Jonathan Smith and linebacker Andrzej Hughes-Murray showcased the customized Jordans in a sequence of Twitter posts.  

However perhaps they aren’t as customized because the Beavers thought.

As Don Johnson Jr., Oregon’s Director of Participant Personnel identified, the Oregon State themed footwear share an uncanny resemblance to those footwear designed for the Geese.

As Johnson notes, Oregon already wore the acquainted Nike footwear on Jan. 1 when the Geese performed within the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.  

Oops.

Did the Beavers actually assume they had been going to one-up the Geese with one thing designed by an Oregon legend? College of Oregon didn’t inherit the nickname “Nike College” with out good cause.

Oregon State soccer might have gained the storied rivalry matchup in 2020, however Oregon definitely walked away with the primary dub in 2021.
