CAF  Announced  January  26th   for Africa Play off Race To  Qatar  2022 FIFA World Cup.

Africa football governing body , (CAF) has confirmed that the FIFA ranking for January, will be used to determine the seeded teams for the 2022 World Cup play-offs. This was one of the decisions taken at the Extraordinary  General Assembly  of CAF in its headquarters in Cairo Egypt.

The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF)  announced that the play-off draws would be held on January 26. The top five countries will be seeded and will face the non-seed teams in the two-legged fixtures.

The first leg fixtures will take place at the lower-ranked team’s home.

The higher teams that have qualified for the playoffs are Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Nigeria. while the  lower-ranked teams are Egypt, Cameroon, Ghana, Mali, Congo DR.

Meanwhile Ghana Football Association GFA has accused SAFA of blatantly disregarding the rules of protest after the game and called on FIFA to dismiss the frivolous claims.

The GFA is also urging FIFA to impose a huge fine on SAFA for bringing the World Cup brand and the reputation of the Blak into disrepute.

Portions of the letter read “It is very clear that the request by the South African Football Association in their second letter that – “We will be forwarding all the relevant documents and a detailed complaint within the next 72 hours” – is misplaced and violates the clear FIFA provisions.
