                                 EXCITEMENT OF INDIGENOUS SPORTS IN NIGERIA AS STUDENTS MAKE INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY 12th August 2019.

     A one day indigenous sports competition for youths has ended in Karu Nasarawa State of Nigeria with the call for the establishment of indigenous sports institutions to enhance the co existence of the people.

The organizer of the indigenous sports competition, the Country Representative of SPORTFANZONE.COM Mrs. Adeline Shuri, said the event was to give the young the opportunity to appreciate the past and to keep the flag of sportsmanship among the youths of today.
The Country Representative added that the indigenous sports which is like a small Olympic among communities within a country, was meant to unite the people as one.
Mrs Adeline while commending the over two hundred students that took part in the indigenous sports festival (Olympic) said that more of school events are expected in most cities of Nigeria.
The country representative of SPORTFANZONE.COM appealed to community leaders and the elderly, not to allow the indigenous games to be eliminated from the coming generation.
Speaking at the occasion, the second vice chairman of the Abuja Golf Association Mr Agbor Clinton, commended sportfanzone for championing the restoration of the indigenous sports, which he said was the source of unity among communities in the past, and promised to assist in the drive of indigenous sports festivals.
A primary five pupil of Kingdom Heritage Model school Jikwoyi Abuja Master Emmauel Ofar expressed appreciation to the organizer for giving them the opportunity of knowing some of the inindigenous games of the past.
For little Blessing Nsor of Paris Africana school Maraba, it was fun all the way seeing parents fully involved in the running of the indigenous sports.

At the end of the first edition of the games, student won prizes from various sports like football , ,Suway, Tenten In and Out, sack race and dodging, just to mention a few.
